Martin Westbeek – Holland

Fluebinder Martin Westbeek fra Holland, der til daglig arbejder underviser i marketing og kommunikation, startede med at binde fluer i 1980erne. Han har siden vundet flere fluebindingskonkurencer og bundet fluer til shows, demoer, udstillinger og messer i Holland, Danmark, Belgien, Sverige, Italien og USA.

Martin Westbeek er medlem af både Whiting- og Daiichi Pro Tier Teams. Hans fluer har været med i bøgerne, Leeson/Schollmeyer’s Tying Emergers og Takahashi’s Modern Midges.

Med jævne mellemrum har Global Flyfisher publiseret trin for trin opskrifter og møsnstre på Martin Westerbeeks fluer.

I august, 2015 blev tre af Martin Westbeeks fluer indlemmet i samlingen, Master’s Collection, på Catskills Fly Tying Museum in Roscoe, NY, USA.

Martin Westbeek, Marketing communication lecturer:

– I started tying in the eighties, picked up some prizes in fly tying competitions and started to tie flies at shows in Holland, Denmark, Germany, Britain, Belgium, Sweden, Italy and USA. I am a member of the Whiting and the Daiichi Pro Tier Teams.

– Flies of mine appeared in Leeson/Schollmeyer’s Tying Emergers,  Takahashi’s Modern Midges. I regularly publish step-by-step patterns on the Global Flyfisher. In August, 2015 three flies of mine were included into the Master’s Collection of the Catskills Fly Tying Museum in Roscoe, NY, USA.
